Community Update: Police Activity in the Area

Dear Residents,

Yesterday, local officers PC Nicholls and PC Thorpe conducted Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) reassurance patrols across the ward.

Positive shift, with several stops made and appropriate action taken in relation to several offences.

The following outcomes were achieved:

Traffic Offence Report issued – Driver using a handheld mobile phone whilst driving.

Traffic Offence Report issued – Vehicle stopped - 3 offences for not wearing a seatbelt.

2 offences for allowing child passengers to travel without a seatbelt.

Traffic Offence Report issued – Vehicle being driven without insurance.

Theft (Shoplifting) – Community Resolution issued.

Vehicle stop linked to drugs – Warning issued.

Stop and Search – Male detained on private premises looking into a skip. Search was conducted on suspicion of going equipped to commit burglary.

We will continue to carry out high-visibility patrols and take positive action to address crime, anti-social behaviour, and road safety concerns within the community.
